Dodgers Notes: Unfortunate Shohei Ohtani Pitching Report, Reliever Nearing Return, Hyeseong Kim Call Up?

The Los Angeles Dodgers beat the Colorado Rockies, 5-3, Monday evening as they got out of a two-game losing skid and improved to 12-6 on the year. Dustin May earned his first win since May 6, 2023 thanks to seven strikeouts over six innings.

Speaking of pitching brilliance, the Dodgers may not see Shohei Ohtani’s Dodgers pitching debut until a date closer to the All-Star break. His previously paused pitching progression has been resumed, but slowly and methodically.

In other news, a major injured arm may be back soon to help out the bullpen as a key reliever is close to getting himself off the injured list. After a few productive Triple-A outings, the right-hander is ‘antsy’ to get back to L.A.

Finally, it may be time for the Dodgers to call up Hyeseong Kim. Center field and second base have had question marks surrounding them for far too long this season as Tommy Edman can lead the outfield, while Kim shows off his Gold Glove-winning defense at second.
